전체 평가:
The Paloma is an intimate Halong wooden junk that is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic get-a-way with that special someone. The natural beauty of the Halong Bay coupled with that of the Paloma give this cruise an inviting and captivating atmosphere. This cruise has activities from kayaking, for the adventurous, to massages at the spa, for those who just want to unwind. Swimming, snorkelling, fishing, cooking demonstrations, and Tai Chi are just some of the options. There are four different options for rooms, varying from family to supreme. You have two choices for the duration of your stay: two days and one night, or three days and two nights. From what I have seen, two nights and three days is well worth the price.
Itinerary
In the morning you are picked up from your hotel by either bus or private car, depdning on what you had opted for. The road trip to the Paloma office in Halong City is about 3 – 4 hours long, so be prepared to be on the road for a while.
By midday, you reach Halong Bay where you are greeted by the crew. After welcoming and lunch the Paloma heads to the Bai Tu Long Bay.
This is when you get to go to the fishing village, Vungvieng, filled with shops and immersed in the culture. When the anchor is dropped, around 17:00, near Hang Trong, happy hour starts. Mornings start with complimentary coffee, tea, and Tai Chi on the deck.
On the second day of the three day cruise, passengers get to go on the LAN Ha Bay excursion. This includes swimming in the clear waters, seeing the towns, kayaking, and walking on the beach. The third day starts the same as the second, then, after breakfast explore the Surprise Cave, Sung Sot.
Keep in mind you should probably not be doing this if you have limited mobility or trouble walking since there are one hundred steps going into the cave. After lunch the boat heads back to Halong Bay where passengers will be taken to the Paloma office to wait for transportation back to Hanoi.
Who this cruise is best for
Even though there are family rooms, this cruise is more appealing for parents than children. A lot of the activities, like kayaking, aren't for small kids. Anyone who is interested in admiring the beauty of the Halong Bay would love this for their vacation.
You get to see the area and explore it. If you don't like trying new things or sightseeing, I would suggest you look somewhere else; this cruise is best suitable for those who are adventurous and want to explore.
