Cruise Description

When you are trying to think about what cruise you want to take in Halong Bay in Vietnam, you will have plenty to choose from.  One of the most unique ships to choose is the Dragon Pearl Junk.  When you see this boat for the first time, you might think that it is just another fishing boat tied up to the dock.  The design of this cruise ship is supposed to reflect that.  It is a classic junk boat that has been sailing in this area for hundreds of years. 

The appearances of this ship are deceiving.  Behind the beautiful teak wood and bronze pieces is a luxury yacht that has all of the amenities to provide a great cruise vacation.  The ship has 11 cabins that all include an en-suite bathroom.  There can be accommodations made for smaller children in these cabins. They are fully air conditioned.  The rooms include a wardrobe, slippers and a hair dryer for the passenger’s convenience.  There is a bar and restaurant area that can accommodate up to 30 guests.  A sun deck provides you with a great place to relax.

Cruise Itinerary

Your cruise starts with a trip over land in the form of a shuttle that takes you from Hanoi to the junk.  Once at the junk you will embark on a cruise that will take you to Bai Tu Long Bay and eventually to the Thein Canh Son Cave where you can enjoy an afternoon of swimming and Kayaking.  After you return to the ship you can relax and enjoy the sunset while you are lounging on the deck. 

A delicious dinner is available and the rest of your evening and relax near Vong Vieng Village.   The next morning you can wake up slowly or you can get up early and enjoy an incredible sunrise.  Breakfast is served on the ship and the rest of your morning can be spent touring the nearby fishing village.  You cango for another swim and then enjoy lunch as the ship returns back to port.
