In case trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay: The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. In such case, we will make alternative travel arrangement for you on request or offer refund in accordance with the cruise policy. If yes, you can flight to Hai Phong instead of Hanoi to save time for driving. It is only about 30 minutes from Hai Phong airport to Orchid cruise pier. Dear So-Jeong Kim, Thank you for your email and our cost for one way transfer from Haiphong airport to Orchid cruise is US $ 29 per one way by private 4 seat car for 2 persons. I am so sorry as our cost at US $ 20 per car is our old cost and transfer cost has risen recently. I highly recommend you to book the flight depart at 08.30AM just in case of the flight delay. It is around 30 minutes transfer from Haiphong airport to Orchid cruise. The cruise will leave the pier at around noon time 11.30 - 12.00 as latest time. At the moment, we still have 01 Suite balcony cabin available on your trip date- 18June for 2days 1night with the cost at US $ 360 for 2 persons travelling. May I know if you need the return trip back to Hanoi? if yes, you can consider our shuttle bus with the cost at US $ 20 per person. Thank you! If it is Hai Phong Airport, we can pick you up from the airport and the fee is only $29/car and it's about 10km away from the pier. If you are arriving at Hanoi Airport, the cost will be higher and the ride takes about 3 hours. I hope to hear from you soon!

Dear Ms. Jaeyeon Lee, Thank you for your question. A private MPV will be more private, but the shuttle bus seat is also very comfortable as it's luxury limousine. If you prefer privacy I suggest you go with a private car. If you don't mind the bus going around picking up a few other passengers, the bus is very comfortable as well. Time-wise both are the same.

As Orchid bus is luxury limousine the price is quite higher than other shuttle bus service ($40/person/round trip) but you will surely enjoy the extra luxury. The bus can pick up and drop off from Hanoi Old Quarter area. You will be back to Hanoi around 2:00-2:30pm as it takes only 2.5 hours (or faster) for the transfer each way.

Dear Ms. Jennifer, Thank you for your question It is correct that July is in monsoon season and there are chances that the trip can get cancelled due to bad weather. However, as per our experience July is still a good month to visit Halong Bay (bright and sunny for great activities), and the chance is very slim. Re your flight, you surely have enough time to take flight as it is only 2 hours driving from Hai Phong to Hanoi and you would arrive back hotel at 2pm then you can take a taxi to the airport for your flight. By the way, as your travelling with 2 little kids thus I highly recommend you to spend 2 days 1night cruise option instead of 3days 2nights as they are too small to join the second day. As on the second day, you will need to move to another boat (small boat) for cruise further and only return to the big boat in the late afternoon. Thanks for your kind notice and understanding! - About the transfer, our shuttle bus can only do pick up and drop off within Hanoi Center/ Hanoi Old Quarter thus our bus can not drop you off at Cat Bi airport.
